Quite Duty
by Deborah Robinson
(to the tune of White Christmas)
I'm dreaming of a quiet duty,
with no alarms ringing in the night,
where were all in our warm bunks
and chet is now snoring
there's no house fires we have to fight.
I'm dreaming of a quiet duty,
dreaming of nurses all in white,
where the mistletoe is hanging
and Roy's head is banging to hear us
fight amongst ourselves
I'm dreaming of a quiet duty
I want to be home with my wife
where there's no phantom striking and Chet and Johnny fighting
I just want peace throughout the night,
I'm dreaming of a quiet duty,
with no alarms ringing in the night
may our days be filled with reruns
(all right) and may all dreams of them be bright.
